New in Kerio Control 8

IPsec VPN server

Site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnels

Kerio Control now includes a IPsec VPN server (in addition to the Kerio VPN server), allowing site-to-site connectivity with 3rd party VPN Firewalls. Previously, it was only possible to establish a VPN tunnel with other Kerio Control Firewalls. Site-to-site connectivity is officially supported between Kerio Control and SonicWall, Astaro, FortiGate, and Cisco ASA firewalls.

iOS & Android mobile device connectivity

With the popularity of smartphones and tablets, it's become increasingly important to support secure connectivity from these devices into the corporate network. With the new IPsec VPN server in Kerio Control, most mobile devices and tablets are now able to establish a secure connection using native VPN options within the mobile Operating System.

Important Notice about...

Dropped support for all Windows platforms

  • Kerio Control 8 is not available as a Windows application. It is available only as a software, virtual or hardware appliance. Customers running the Windows Edition of Kerio Control can easily migrate to the Software Appliance Edition re-using their same hardware. Alternatively, customers using Windows Server with Hyper-V can migrate to the Kerio Control Virtual Appliance for Hyper-V.

We´ve prepared a short video that will instruct you on how to install Kerio Control Software Appliance from ISO

Built-in plugins for external antivirus removed

  • As announced earlier, we removed 3rd party antivirus plugins in Kerio Control 8. Majority of our customers use the built-in Sophos antivirus. The portion of those using other AV solution hardly reached 2 percent even for the most popular ones. Antivirus SDK with our API is available for developers to develop their own plug-in.
